        Herbal Medicine:

Schedule a consultation for an herbal consultation.  Specializing in natural remedies for digestive, skin, and emotional issues.

Traditional Chinese Medicine uses many different methods to help the body return to balance.

Some of the modalities include:

  • Acupuncture - made of hair-thin stainless steel, single-use needles are inserted into the skin in order to activate different acupuncture points and channels on the body. Treatments generally take 45-60 minutes.

  • Sports Acupuncture or "Muscle Pop" - This sports-type of acupuncture uses an acupuncture needle to fasciculate or  "reset" any muscles that may have been pulled or are in spasm. You may feel the muscle twitch or jump when needled and the muscle should feel slightly sore afterwards, as if you have just done a workout at the gym. While it may be slightly sore, you should feel an immediate increase in range of motion and flexibility.

  • Chinese Herbal Medicine - the strength of Chinese medicine in treating internal disease or traumatic injury truly lies in its herbal traditions. TCM uses formulas that have been passed down for millennia which are then adjusted to fit the individual needs of the patient. Chinese herbs may be used externally or taken internally, and come in many forms such as raw herbs which you cook at home, granules which you mix with water, and pills or capsules which you may carry around with you on the go. If this is something you are interested in, ask about an herbal consult today!

  • Moxibustion - Moxa is an aged form of Mugwort, or Artemesia vulgaris. It is burned and held above the skin or on a needle to warm different points on the body.

  • Cupping - also known as "Flash Cupping" or "Fire Cupping", this technique uses glass cups to pull out "chills" from the body. It is most commonly used when a person is just coming down with a cold and has chest or respiratory problems. Cupping is also common in treating neck, shoulder, or back pain and is used with many sports injuries.

  • Gua sha - literally "scraping sand," this technique helps improve blood circulation in the muscle layers. It is commonly used whenever there is muscle pain in the back, neck, shoulders, or torso. Many people ask for a guasha treatment in order to help "detox" their body.

  • Tui Na - Chinese type massage intended to move qi and blood, and break up any stagnation or congestion in the body.

  • Traditional Massage - Sports massage, Myofascial release, Deep tissue, shiatsu, or circulatory massage - we know everybody needs to let go from time to time, and massage is a wonderful way to keep all the qi flowing! Since we believe soft-tissue work is the perfect complement to acupuncture, we include massage into every acupuncture treatment plan for no additional charge.

  • E-Stim - Electrical stimulation of acupuncture points has been used for years for the treatment of things such as muscle sprain/strain, sciatic pain, muscle cramping, neuropathy, or other forms of pain.

Length: Most treatments last between 30-45 minutes. For the first visit, however, we may spend up to 60 minutes since we provide a thorough explanation of Chinese Medicine for those who are unfamiliar with it, do a thorough intake to find any underlying patterns of disharmony in your body, determine your constitutional nature, and develop an individual treatment plan.

Payment: Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Wellness Program: Many people have asked about a wellness program option as a preventative option for staying healthy and fit throughout the year. Options are as follows:

  • $75/month - For 1 massage or acupuncture treatment each month.

  • $165/month - For 2 acupuncture treatments each month and 1 massage every other  month

  • $275/month - For 4 acupuncture treatments each month and 1 massage every month

Treatments may be used at any time during the month, subject to availability of appointment time. Credit cards will be charged the 1st of the month, every month, for as long as you would like to continue.

Cancellation Policy: Because we generally only schedule one patient at a time, any missed appointment, or showing up 20 minutes past your appointment time will result in a charge of a full office visit that will be due before the next visit. In the same spirit, if, for any reason, we make a mistake and miss our appointment, we will credit you the same amount towards your next visit. Habitually late patients will not be re-scheduled.

We are happy to verify your benefits for you to see if you have coverage. Don't forget - Health Savings Accounts or Flex-Spending Accounts may be used for acupuncture and massage visits!
